The Peloponnese Province of Greece
June 30th, 1908 A.D.

It had been only eight days since Lydia had confronted the Cultists and her sister in the mountainous area of the Peloponnese mountains; the confrontation had come to a conclusion after her father decided to intervene, during the encounter he had purposely spoke of his dissatisfaction with Elizabeth who had lost her fight against Lydia; even mentioning in front of the two sisters how he started to believe he’d made a mistake; that it was Lydia who should have had his focus, not Elizabeth; much to Lydia’s disinterest and frustration, she despised her father, she despised how he wanted to bring nothing but misery to others, she may have been trained to kill, but she hated that life; she only wanted to be normal, but only ever had brief moments to experience it; now, she found herself with her twin sibling, Elizabeth had fled their father alongside Lydia when Lydia was forced to run during her confrontation.

Having relocated to a safe location; Cathryn was now struggling to contain the emotions of her two daughters as they struggled to interact with one another; Elizabeth was far too much like their father, and being so indoctrinated by his beliefs, it clashed powerfully with Lydia and her beliefs; it did clash with Cathryn, but Cathryn knew she would be able to bring Elizabeth around, Lydia had no such beliefs though; it was as if the past few years of discipline Lydia had learned had just disappeared entirely; it was like watching two children as they fought over toys, only, these two were much more violent, and both capable of killing.

Observing what was now a recurring problem; Thomas, Miquel, Damir, Norina, Xian and the Monk stood with Cathryn; they watched as Lydia and Elizabeth once again came to blows with one another over a comment Elizabeth makes to Lydia; while Lydia didn’t realise, it was obvious to the others that Elizabeth was purposely riling her sister up, goading her into a confrontation; though unlike previous outbursts, Lydia draws her sword instead of attacking with her fists; with blowing up in a rage, she made a quick movement as she drew the sword, swinging it upwards on an angle and just barely missing her sister.

“Shit” Elizabeth comments as she stumbles backwards; she realised she may have just made a mistake; this time her sister really was going for blood; edging back, she watched Lydia carefully

“You tried to kill me back in Egypt; not so fun on the opposite side is it!” Lydia barked, making a quick spinning motion as she moved forwards; thrusting the sword forwards in her forwards movement; she was no longer thinking; her sisters constant picking and poking had finally driven her anger to a boiling point

“Lydia!” Cathryn shouted, she was needing to be carefully; the ‘Monk’, the man who had trained her was an effective teacher, and he has trained Lydia very well; it had made Lydia rather dangerous to confront when her anger had reach such a boiling point; even for Cathryn who had similar training

As Lydia ignored the shouts and cries for her to stop; Elizabeth ended up falling backwards in another attempt to evade her sisters sword; crashing backwards against the ground; as Lydia moved quickly she was directly in front of Elizabeth with the sword raised in preparation to attack; if not for Thomas’ decision to move, Elizabeth was certain that her sister would have gone through with her intention to kill.

Thomas’ decision put him directly in front of Lydia; he had a worried expression present, he wasn’t sure if it would work; and it was written on his face as he got directly in front of her with his arms spread out; Lydia stopped; she felt her heavy panting as she stared at Thomas; he was much taller than her; Lydia’s eyes were fixated, “Don’t” Thomas said softly “You’ll regret the decision for the rest of your life” he told her

Elizabeth raised her eyebrow; there was now a curious expression present, Lydia seemed to soften for this British soldier, ‘Why’ she questioned in her head, she shifted her position just a little so she could get a better look of her sister, she hadn’t moved yet, she still had her sword ready for a killing strike; but Thomas for whatever reason had stopped her simply moving in front of her, she wondered if there was something between them, she remembered Thomas from Egypt when he had rescued her sister after she had been shot by Bartholomew.

“Lydia” Cathryn said as she slowly approached her daughter from behind; Lydia slowly started lowering the sword, though her eyes still remained on Thomas until Cathryn gently placed her hand against her shoulder, she then finally looked to their mother, Lydia’s softened expression remained; it was obvious she realised just how close she had come to actually killing her own sibling

“I believe we should keep them away from each other if there isn’t anyone around to stop a confrontation” Xian comments

“Obviously” the Monk chimes; he turns his attention to Xian a moment, he kept his hands resting behind his back, before his attention would shift back to Lydia’s direction

Thomas could feel his heart beat starting to calm down; it has been pounding hard when he had made his decision to get in front of Lydia; she had lost control, and it was that very reason that Elizabeth just couldn’t help question ‘why’ – for Lydia to have stopped that close to committing to an attack with so much boiling rage, she shouldn’t have been able to stop herself, yet, she did; when Cathryn moved Lydia away to speak with her; Elizabeth got up and looked to Thomas a moment “Is there something between you two?” she questioned

Thomas looked to Elizabeth and shook his head “No” he said

“He wishes there was though” Miquel comments; he had a warm smile as he approached, looking first at Thomas then towards Elizabeth “He fancies your sister”

Elizabeth looked at Miquel; she recognised him too, he had been in Egypt as well; the Kenyan, she thought for a moment, she then looked back to Thomas “She could have killed you; and you risked getting in front of her”

“Oh, I know she could have killed me” Thomas replies “But, if she had killed you, that regret would never leave her, it would eat her up inside for the rest of her life”

Elizabeth nodded; Thomas clearly cared about her sister “Well; thank you for intervening” she said, then walked away from him; she wanted to know what was going through her sisters head when her eyes locked on Thomas.

While Cathryn spoke with her; Lydia’s eyes wandered, she seem to zone out; though she did catch herself looking towards Thomas, she didn’t really understand why though, many internal questions running through her mind but still didn’t make her look away from Thomas, she just kept looking in his direction, even as he glanced towards her.
