2015 A.D.
Only a short period of time had passed since so many disruptive things had happened to Raven and Yasmin; the world felt so different to them, but yet still the same; and while Raven was still struggling with a lot of physical contact; she knew Yasmin would never hurt her, Yasmin maintained a very respectful balance, whenever Raven would react to her physical touch, she would draw back respectfully and give Raven the time she needed; their relationship would still sometimes feel like it was on a fragile foot for Raven, she believed she was hurting Yasmin; Yasmin would however speak calmly and simply tell her she understood, she wasn’t going to rush her – the trauma Raven felt, she wasn’t going to ignore.
On one sunny afternoon, Yasmin found herself with plenty of free time, she had finally gotten a day off from her job, deciding to visit Raven, she would be let in by Jenna; Raven’s mother, who told her she hadn’t heard much from Raven most of the day, that she had been rather quiet and made very little in appearance at any point downstairs since breakfast; curious, Yasmin made her way up, quietly she knocked on the door before slowly pushing it open to peek inside; she was expecting Raven to be in some emotional state, to be upset, something that she was suddenly feeling a sense of concern for, instead though; she discovered Raven was heavily focused, she head earphones on and her desk was covered with pens and various drawing pencils, colouring markers and a variety of different coloured pencils; she had a an art book in front of her, her silvery-eyes were flicking back and forth from the computer screen in front of her to the art-book, she was lost in her own little world quite clearly, smiling, Yasmin shook her head realising that Raven will most likely have just lost all sense of time.
Slowly closing the door, Yasmin decided to approach Raven and she leaned a little over to look at what Raven was drawing; she was trying to not disturb her, or make her jump; smiling at the very well-drawn picture Raven was currently focused on she nodded her head slowly; Raven’s eyes caught a glimpse of Yasmin in her screen, turning her head around quickly in surprise she nearly fell off the chair in her surprise; gripping her desk to stop herself as Yasmin quickly moved her hands to steady her movement; with a quick movement, Raven shifted her hand to the mouse, moving the cursor on the computer to pause what she was watching before pulling the earphones from her ears “When did you get here?” Raven asked, her voice indicated she was very happy to see her even if surprised
“Just now” Yasmin replied with a smile, she then indicated to her drawing “That’s beautiful” she told her, her tone was soft
Raven felt her lips curve as she smiled happily at Yasmin “Thank you” she said happily “Want to join me?” she asked; Yasmin let out a slight giggle in response before nodding her head; as Raven repositioned herself, Yasmin raised her eyebrow a moment before perching herself precariously onto the same chair; they both had to balance themselves just right; using one earphone each, they would listen to the video Raven had been watching; they would eventually however just start talking to each other, distracting each other from what they was meant to have been doing; sharing a laugh and a giggle; it would move towards plans about the future.
When they realised they wasn’t going to be doing much more drawing, they simply moved to the bed to were it would be more comfortable than balancing themselves on a single chair; they just kept talking with one another, it was quiet clear to Yasmin as Raven spoke; their relationship was strengthening once again.
When discussing their relationship; Raven thought for a moment before smiling warmly, saying proudly how she wants them to live together, though for a brief moment she seems a little distant as she makes a comment “As long as I don’t mess anything up”
Yasmin looked at her carefully, shifting her position a moment, she reached her hand up; Raven looked at her, Yasmin wanted to make sure she wouldn’t react negatively first before she gently placed her hand against her face, stroking her thumb gently on her cheek “You don’t mess anything up Raven” she told her softly “I may not know exactly what is happening in here” she indicated gently towards Raven’s forehead with her right hand “But no matter what; I am not going to leave you, I love you” she told her, her tone was gentle and she smiled, her expression indicated quite strongly that she wasn’t lying; it made Raven lean forwards to hug Yasmin
