Seth
As the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve, Donna found herself lost in thought, her mind wandering to a place she hadn’t visited in a while. The sound of champagne glasses clinking and the cheering of the crowd around her seemed to fade into the background as she slipped into a world of memories, where the love of her life, Seth, still existed. It had been five months since he passed away, leaving a gaping hole in her heart that seemed impossible to fill.
Donna couldn’t help but wonder what had triggered this sudden nostalgia. Was it the song playing in the background, a melody that reminded her of their countless nights spent dancing together? Or was it the smell of the fireworks that filled the air, a scent that transported her back to the summer they spent hand in hand? Whatever it was, it had awakened a deep longing within her, a yearning to turn back time and relive the happy moments they had shared.
She sat on her own at the the start of a new year eyes began to well up with tears as she thought about the what-ifs, the could-haves, and the should-haves. She wished she could go back in time, to the days when Seth was still by her side, to the nights when they would talk for hours about their dreams and aspirations.
Their love story had been one for the ages, a tale of first love, of passion, of heartbreak, and of longing. two young souls drawn to each other like magnets. Their relationship had been a whirlwind romance, filled with laughter, adventure, and excitement. But like all good things, it had come to an end, leaving Donna with a heart that was broken into a million pieces.
Even though they had split up years ago, Donna had never really let go of Seth. She had compared every man she dated to him, and none of them had ever measured up. They say that first love is hard to forget, no matter how long ago it was, and for Donna, that was the truth. She had tried to move on, to fill the void in her heart with other relationships, but nothing had ever come close to what she had felt with Seth.
As she sat , lost in her thoughts, Donna felt a gentle breeze brush against her skin, and she could have sworn that she heard a whisper in her ear. “I’m here with you always.” The words sent a shiver down her spine, and she closed her eyes, allowing herself to get lost in the fantasy. She pictured Seth standing beside her, his bright green eyes sparkling with mischief, his hair messy and unkempt, just the way she loved it.
In her mind’s eye, she saw them walking hand in hand, strolling through the park on a warm summer day. She remembered the way he used to make her laugh, the way he used to challenge her to be her best self. She recalled the way he used to hold her, the way he used to kiss her, the way he used to love her.
The memories came flooding back, and Donna felt like she was reliving their time together, like she was turning back the clock and erasing the pain of their breakup.
But as the minutes ticked by, reality began to set in, and Donna was forced to confront the truth. Seth was gone, and she was left to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart. She opened her eyes to find she was sat on her own in a dim light of the lamp.
Donna took a deep breath and let the tears flow, allowing herself to mourn the loss of the love of her life. She knew that it was okay to feel this way, that it was okay to still love him, even though he was no longer with her Donna felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that Seth would always be with her, in her heart, in her memories, and in the whispers that only she could hear.
The night wore on, and Donna eventually settled in to bed She felt a sense of solitude, a sense of being alone in the world, but she also felt a sense of connection to Seth, a sense of knowing that he was still with her, watching over her, guiding her.
As she settled into her bed, Donna smiled to herself, feeling a sense of whimsy wash over her. She knew that she would always carry Seth’s memory with her, that she would always love him, no matter what the future held. And as she drifted off to sleep, she could have sworn that she felt his hand brush against hers, his whisper echoing in her ear once more. “I’m here with you always, Donna. Forever and always.”
The days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months, but Donna’s love for Seth never wavered. She knew that she would always carry him in her heart, that she would always cherish the memories they had made together. And as she looked up at the stars, she smiled, knowing that their love story was one that would transcend time and space, a tale of true love that would live on forever.
