Frosty Man
Once upon a time, in a little blue house nestled amongst snowy hills, lived a young boy named Henry. Henry had a very special friend, a friend most people couldn’t see: Frosty Man.
Frosty Man wasn’t made of snow, not exactly. He was made of winter magic, with eyes like glittering icicles and a smile that could melt the frost right off your window. He had powers you wouldn’t believe! He could make snowflakes dance, build ice castles in the blink of an eye, and even talk to the wind.
One day, Henry invited his best friend, Jack, over to meet Frosty Man. Jack was a little nervous. He’d never met a magical winter friend before! Henry led him out into the snowy garden. “Frosty Man,” Henry called, “are you here?”
Suddenly, the air shimmered, and there he was! Frosty Man stood tall, his icy eyes twinkling. “Welcome, Jack!” he boomed, his voice like the gentle rumble of an avalanche. Jack’s jaw dropped.
“Wow!” he whispered.
“Now,” said Henry, clapping his hands, “let’s play Crusaders! We have to save the world!”
Frosty Man chuckled, a sound like tinkling bells. “A noble quest! But what dreadful danger threatens us?”
Henry, the leader of the Crusaders, declared, “The Gloomies! They’re trying to steal all the sunshine!”
Frosty Man nodded seriously. He waved his hand, and two shimmering ice swords appeared. One for Henry, one for Jack. “These are Swords of Sparkle,” he said. “They can cut through any Gloomy gloom!”
The three Crusaders ventured into the snowy woods. Frosty Man used his wind-talking power to find the Gloomies’ hiding place, a dark cave filled with shadowy figures.
“We must use our courage and our Swords of Sparkle!” Henry whispered.
With a battle cry (and a little giggle), the Crusaders charged! Henry and Jack slashed at the Gloomies with their ice swords, and Frosty Man blew gusts of icy wind, scattering them like dust bunnies. The Gloomies, who hated bright things, quickly scurried away, defeated.
The sunshine returned! The birds started singing, and the snow sparkled even brighter. The world was saved!
“We did it!” Jack shouted, jumping up and down.
“Hooray!” cheered Henry.
Frosty Man smiled. “And just in time for tea!” He magically conjured a table laden with warm cookies, hot chocolate with marshmallows, and tiny finger sandwiches.
The three friends sat together, enjoying their well-deserved treat, the heroes of the hour (and the garden), all thanks to a game of Crusaders played with a very special, very frosty, friend. And as the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange, they knew they would be ready for their next adventure.
